MESA — Every Time I Die rolled into Club Red for the latest stop on their “20 Years of Bullshit” tour, and the metal legends wasted no time whipping the crowd into a frenzy. The capacity crowd ignored the posted warnings prohibiting crowd-surfing, and numerous bodies soon began cascading over the barricade to the delight of frontman Keith Buckley.
The set was akin to a chronological journey through the Every Time I Die catalog, starting with “Emergency Broadcast Syndrome” from the band’s 2001 debut, Last Night in Town. From there, a handful of cuts were chosen from each record, with longtime live staples like “Floater” and “We’rewolf” being juxtaposed with more rare selections like “Pigs is Pigs” and “Depressionista.”
