    ‘The Green Knight’ voted Best Picture by Portland Critics Association

    Members of the Portland Critics Association are pleased to announce the winners of their first annual awards, honoring the best films, filmmakers, actors and other achievements of 2021.

    David Lowery’s The Green Knight was honored with the award for Best Picture, its sole accolade despite nominations in 9 categories, while Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog picked up wins for Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch’s soulful performance.

    Elsewhere, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune dominated many of the technical categories, with 7 overall awards including Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects and Best Production Design.
