Much like the film itself, this Blu-Ray release is a mixed bag of excitement and disappointment, making for an enjoyable but flawed experience.

While not a great film, John Carter sets up a potentially fun franchise and is an entertaining and beautifully shot retro sci-fi adventure film for all ages.
